to our new website. It is our hope that you find this website more
informative, resourceful and more aesthetically pleasing than our
last. This past year was great for United Farmers USA, and we would
like to make 2007 even better. |
| United
Farmers USA is dedicated to helping the small farmer succeed,
and this year is already off to a good start. We are continuing
to help small farmers retain their land, improve the quality
of their lives and assist them in becoming successful and profitable
business persons. We have been educating small farmers in a
variety of areas, as well as providing outreach and technical
assistance. We have also been helping small-scale and limited
resource farmers apply for financial and technical assistance
available through the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service
(NRCS). |

| One
goal we are looking forward to achieving this year is working more
with the kids to pique their interest in the area of agriculture at
a young age. United Farmers USA already works with adolescents educating
them on careers in agriculture, land-grant institutions, and financial
aid assistance available, including scholarships. |
| Our
focus this year and beyond is to provide minority family farmers with
the tools essential for the survival of the minority family farm.
In today’s global agricultural economy, farm management, marketing
assistance, debt restructuring, and alternative crop production are
crucial to the success and survival of minority farmers. United Farmers
USA will go above and beyond to ensure that the small farmer is successful
in each of these areas. |
