Our Partners
American Minorities United - United Farmers USA (UFUSA) currently partners with National Tribal Development Association (NTDA) and Texas Mexico Border Coalition (TMBC), and collectively, we are known as American Minorities United. UFUSA represents African American farmers and ranchers, NTDA represents American Indian/Alaskan farmers and ranchers, and TMBC represents Hispanic farmers and ranchers, and the three organizations are working and speaking together with one voice.
One of AMU’s primary goals is to provide the necessary information to ensure that all minority farmers have equal access to USDA programs and services. AMU has two major projects, the United Minorities Whole Farm USDA Empowerment Project and the American Minorities United in Outreach and Risk Management Education. The former is funded by the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Services (CSREES), and the latter is funded by the Risk Management Agency (RMA).

Rural Coalition - The Rural Coalition is an alliance of regionally and culturally diverse organizations, including UFUSA, working to build a more just and sustainable food system which brings fair returns to minority and other small farmers and rural communities, establishes just and fair working conditions for farm workers, protects the environment and brings safe and healthy food to customers.

Rural Coalition offers extensive training guides for farmers and ranchers including the “Guide to Financial Recordkeeping for Farmers and Ranchers”. This and other training materials are available on their website, www.ruralco.org. United Farmers have been able to offer farmers Organic Certification training, record-keeping, and other financial planning training as a result of the Rural Coalition partnership.
